awesome. I think it would have more impact with out the distortion on everybody's heads though. Then it would look like a normal shot until you realized all that was going on inside it.
Of course you are right. The unadulterated photo of my great great uncle at work has the most impact. I guess I was trying to push it away from the reality a bit -- but maybe it isn't terribly successful.
you mean that's not what thier heads really looked like?
i wasn't going to say anything but now that's kind of a relief.
seriously though i have to agree with the above comment. leaving the realism in it would have made it creepier. does have a cool, strange kind of "twilight zone" type of feel to it this way though. doesn't it feel kind of strange manipulating pictures of your ancestors?
wait wait wait, you mean that your grandfather is acutually working on charred corpses here?! holy shit i want to know the story behind this one. what about the huge baby in the foreground? was that real too?
i figured it would feel a bit wierd. and hey, if your dad likes surreal art work i would think he would appriceate these. and he must know artists (especially the "abstract thinking" ones) are a bit strange... or at least that's what i've been told.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
