:(
and how shocking that the number of Iraqi civilian deaths is tens of thousands more....

--
In Honor of SSRG. CHRISTOPHER S. FROST
along with seven other Iraqis who died with him in the halo crash.

And when he gets to Heaven to Saint Peter he will tell, "Just another soldier reporting sir. I've served my time in hell."

Now, over 4k dead and over 29k wounded according to casualties.org. [link] The same site claims Iraqi dead in the neighborhood of 50k, but their statistics only run back to 2005. [link] I think we will never know the true numbers.

It scares me sometimes that there will be memorial like this built next to the Vietnam Memorial someday.

been watching you for a while and found your work always interesting but never quite over that undefined something that made me want to have it at hand in my fav's

this one is a powerful symbol - the setting and the composition and of course the title really carry the feeling .

This WILL make a difference, anyone who see's this will be moved.
There is no moral high-ground in war, just carnage and depravity.
What a waste of young lives.
To any young person out there reading this: Don't be fooled by OLD men who would send you to your early deaths.
Some of them will profit from your spilled blood.
Peace.

Very impressive .....

Absolutely, but that's not a story I can tell. That list is not in our newspapers, and, I'm sorry to say, those good people are hardly a consideration in the growing unpopularity of the war here. I'm equally sorry to say that I don't think it is the 4,000 Americans, either, or the tens of thousands of our own that have been maimed and traumatized. I think it is mostly the horrendous expense and the depressing absence of a sense of triumph and gory glory as it drags on. And that part is probably a good thing, else we'd be jumping into "pre-emptive" wars on a regular basis from now on.

Just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.
