Before I joined DA I was going through a rather long dry spell. Since then I've been churning out quick pieces to get my creative juices flowing and scout out some new directions -- some of which were suggested by work I found here. Now I think I'm ready to slow down a bit and create some more careful, finished works. I'm also beginning to do a little weeding, shifting lesser Deviations to the Scraps heap. By the time the new Portfolio options are introduced, maybe I'll have a clear idea of what I should showcase. Thanks to everyone for your comments, faves, watches and even furtive glances. I am pleased to meet you all.

Devious Comments
I think Senecal may be on to something with the workshop idea, I've been finding a bit of income coming from showing folks how to do things that I was once called crazy for being obsessed with- computers and Tarot mainly- hey, Tarot workshops have kept Jodorosky housed and fed for a couple decades now
But it is especially true with computer based stuff- if you can show folks how to do something on one of these machines, other than getting to the point of tearing their eyes out, then they will actually pay you
What's worked best for me is groups of 4 to 6 people- it's do-able- both in terms of getting that number at a time as well as finding space to do the workshop in- and more worth while than just a couple people. I usually just use posters and word of mouth to get clients/students, but have put the odd ad in a newspaper or magazine... Just some thoughts...
Best of luck!
